[Unicum] Kodaly Concert

The Washington Master Chorale will be performing Kodaly’s Missa Brevis on October 14 at 4:00 p.m. in the National Presbyterian Church.  The group has researched the background of the piece, and details of the first performance in Budapest during the siege in the last month of World War II.  I have been in touch with one of the members, a former colleague from the Library of Congress, and they have contacted scholars in Hungary to give as full a background as possible.    Further information below.  The home page is:   http://www.washingtonmasterchorale.org/
