[Unicum] Hungarian books to donate or sell

Hello.  I would like the name and contact info for the book seller who was at the Hungarian Bazaar (Chevy Chase Woman's Club) last week.  We exchanged contact information, but I lost it.  My friend Ilona has some books that she would like to part with. If anybody  is interested in purchasing books of general interest, mystery novels, etc., please let me know.

The Hungarian American Coalition first established the Scholarship Fund in 1997, in response to requests from a large number of Hungarian students who had gained acceptance to American colleges and universities, but needed additional financial assistance to complete their studies.  Since then, the Coalition has provided partial scholarships each year to outstanding Hungarian students who pursue full-time studies in the United States. The scholarship is given to those who have already won admission to a U.S. university.  For more information, visit our website at www.hacusa.org

[Unicum] Embassy Theater Series: Quartet / Kvartett

Kedves Unicum Tagok!

Szeretettel meghívunk Mindenkit a Kvartett című színdarab vetítésére, ami része a Magyar Nagykövetség Színházi vetítéssorozatának. A vetítés a Kossuth Házban [2001 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036] lesz December 6.-án pénteken délután 2-től. A részvétel ingyenes. Visszajelzéseket a Facebookon https://www.facebook.com/events/1021985584809325/ vagy emailben az  RSVP.was@mfa.gov.hu címen várjuk.

Join us for the sixth and season closing play of our Embassy Theater Series!

On Friday, December 6 from 2 p.m., we will be screening György Spíró's play, Quartet, directed by László Marton. The professionally recorded show of the Pesti Színház of Budapest will be screened in Hungarian with English subtitles.

A couple is living their everyday life in a block, when a stranger, a Hungarian from America appears on their doorstep claiming that the head of the family saved his life back in 1956. He is here now to express his gratitude, but strangely the paterfamilias doesn't want any of the expensive gifts.

A Spiro show is always an important event on the Hungarian stages, and it is of special significance because he is one of the most outstanding authors of contemporary Hungarian literature. This play brings such big names of the theatre world like András Kern, Enikő Börcsök, Géza Hegedűs D., Edit Balázsovits.

The event is free of charge, but seats are limited! So, please click on 'going' or send us an email to RSVP.was@mfa.gov.hu with your name and number of guests. Doors open at 2:00 p.m., and the screening starts at 2:30 p.m. sharp. https://www.facebook.com/events/1021985584809325/

You might have noticed that this time, the Kossuth House will be our host, so please make sure you arrive at the address indicated above. We advise you to use public transportation or rideshare since very limited street parking is available.

My therapy sessions are centered on playing and games. Location can be discussed, for example in Chevy Chase, or near to where the Hungarian Scouts meets in Falls Church, and/ or near to the Hungarian School near or at Marymount University.
