Re: [SCOW] Interesting report on dinghy entrapment

Thanks for this great article!  I really appreciate these articles even though I've not done much with SCOW recentl.  I now co-chair the Sailing Program for the Ski Club of Washington and we sail from Belle Haven Marina, just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.  Two years ago, the staff there got recertified by US Sailing who recommended that they install floaties on all their Flying Scots by using noodles.  The staff cut up some noodles, attached them to the top of the masts, and each Scot now has a bright colored section of noodle at the top of its mast.  An inexpensive and effective way to prevent the boats from going turtle.  I'm sure  George Stevens, the manager, or Chip, the dock master, would be glad to show anyone from SCOW what they did.
