Saturday, April 14

Sunday, April 15
2 p.m., the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents a spring concert by the CUA Women's Chorus, conducted by Kevin O'Brien, lecturer, featuring music of Brahms, Caldara, Dirksen, Fauré, Mendelssohn, Poulenc, and others. CUA's St. Vincent Chapel. For more information, call 202-319-5414.

Monday, April 16
4:10 to 5:30 p.m., the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents a performance piece on Hildegard of Bingen, who will be canonized and named a Doctor of the Church in 2012. Linn Maxwell, mezzo soprano, will perform. Included are songs (accompanied on copies of medieval instruments) and excerpts from writings by Hildegard. For more information, call 202-319-5414.

7:30 p.m., the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music opera workshop class will perform selections from Nicolai's The Merry Wives of Windsor, Verdi's Aida, Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretal, Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore and Don Pasquale, and Kalman's Die Chardasfurstin. 7:30 p.m., the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents the CUA Chorus in concert with the Sanctuary Choir of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Kensington, Md., and the Girls Choir of the Brookwood School, Kensington, Md. Conducted by N. Thomas Pedersen, co-chair of musical theatre, the concert will include works by David Shelat, Leo Nestor, Joseph Miranda, John Jacob Niles, and Geraldine Rohling.
