(Career Progress) Paid Creative/Media Intern—The Common Sense Coalition

Paid Creative/Media Intern—The Common Sense Coalition

The Common Sense Coalition is looking for a paid intern to spend about 20 hours per week creating graphics for our website, Facebook page, and online ads. We're accepting applications from anywhere, but Washington D.C. is preferred because that's where we're located. We think that it doesn't make Common Sense to pay interns $2.50 an hour or not at all, so I suppose that means our salary is "competitive". We're looking to hire ASAP, and we're flexible on how long the internship lasts for.

What you'd be doing for us:
  • Create interesting and captivating logos, infographics, powerpoints, buttons, Facebook Timeline cover photos, and basically anything graphically-related we'd want to show to anyone
  • Take documents (don't worry, we'll take care of writing them) and publish them into various formats with our branding/logo
  • Find interesting political images/cartoons for us to post on Facebook/Twitter
  • If you have video editing experience, that's a huge plus, although isn't required.  Knowing basic HTML/CSS would be nice, too
  • If you have any unique skills that you think could be of use, let us know—we're very open-minded. And because this is a creative position, feel free to do something creative with your application.
To apply: email a resume and two samples of graphics you've created to ryan@thecommonsensecoalition.com. Bonus points if you send us a link to something that's been published online.

About the CSC: We're a new 501(c)4 that is fed up with the partisan politics in Washington.  We represent the middle 40% of Americans that are fiscally responsible and socially tolerant, but that don't have a voice in Congress.  To learn more, visit our website: http://thecommonsensecoalition.com/
