You could grab a couple recycling and trash bags and go down to the river to help gather recyclables and trash…or carry a dip net aboard and practice 'man-overboards' on flotsam (or more likely, jetsam) you sail by....
Or head out to Skyline Drive to rebuild sections of the Appalachian Trial…
Or plant a bunch of trees in your back yard….take public transportation, or bike to work….
Or…contribute a few buck to support me in this year's Climate Ride, May 19-23!
This is the East Coast Climate Ride, a 5 day, 300 mile bicycle trek from Manhattan to Capitol Hill to promote sustainable solutions, bike advocacy and environmental causes. I'll be tweeting my progress as we transit Manhattan, roll along the Garden State byways, attack Valley Forge and roll along the Amish country lanes of Pennsylvania, down (& up) the rolling hills of Maryland to Reisterstown, and finally to Capitol Hill.
Some folks have asked if there an alternate method to donate, so I have attached a donate-by-mail form. I hope you can support me in this nifty way to fund some of our most effective environmental organizations! Any amount is welcome.
