[SCOW] DC Sail Halloween Regatta October 27th

SCOW Racers,

DC Sail will be hosting a Halloween Regatta on Saturday October 27th.  DC Sail has warmly opened up the regatta to our SCOW Flying Scot fleet.

The races will be in the Washington Channel.

Saturday, October 27th
12am Skipper's Meeting
1pm Racing starts
5pm Racing ends and BBQ party begins
7pm Awards

Our Leukemia Cup winning Flying Scot team is already signed up and they are looking for some competition from SCOW.  Selkie, Sunset Song, and Suzie Q have been reserved for this event from Saturday at 8am to Sunday at 10am.  To let the SCOW participants stay for the party, Gang Plank Marina and the SCOW Board have agreed to let us keep our boats docked overnight and sail them back to WSM Sunday morning.

Attached is a flyer, the Notice of Race (NOR), and an Entry form.
Entry is $25 a person, and the BBQ afterwards is $15 per person.
Costumes are encouraged and given awards for the top three.

Please notice that DC Sail has a requirement that if the combined air and water temperature are below 120F, then you will need to wear either a wet suit or a dry suit as per US Sailing guidelines.  For some helpful information, see DC Sail's FAQ http://dcsail.org/Default.aspx?pageId=1251682.

Please let me and Deepak(racing@scow.org) know of your intention to sail in the regatta.

See you on the water,

Charles
