(Career Progress) INTRODUCING: N4P PROGRESS FELLOWS!

Do you want to put the COMMUNITY back into Community Organizing and the PARTY back into the Democratic Party?

If so, Yes YOU Can....with Network For Progress!

N4P is a new member of the Woman's National Democratic Club (www.democraticwoman.org) and and is co-working with OFA's Ward 1 & Ward 2 volunteer activities there with room for several Progress Fellows to help us 10-15 hours per week to develop our infrastructure so our work is more effective and scalable to engage, network and develop grassroots activists nationwide before and after the election. Duties include Get-Out-The-Vote VA and other Grassroots recruitment, Project & Member Management, Web Site, Press, Social Media, Event Planning and much more.

N4P is focused on combating the institutional strength of the Conservative Movement (aka "Tea Party" & Fox News) and preventing an "enthusiasm gap" through social and media-savvy Movement-building initiatives that better network our current supporters, engage potential supporters and develop our evangelists for Hope & Change to deliver PROGRESS.

In other words: Recruitment -> Retention -> Training -> Action

Why Movement-building? Because this kind of organizing and activism is focused on a simple fact: RELATIONSHIPS (from interpersonal friendships to branded messages) are the key to influence and fuel participation in fundraising, volunteering, sharing and VOTING.

In DC, that means a vibrant online community on google, facebook and twitter matched with offline community events like "1st Thursday" Happy Hours to compete with the Conservative "1st Fridays" on Capitol Hill to bring our movement together:

Recent events have included a Debate Watch Party with Hot 99.5's Toby Knapp, Rumble 2012 Debate Party with Social Media Club and our 6th Mixer & Date Auction.

If you were late to getting a more formal role in an organization this Fall or would otherwise like a flexible leadership experience where you can learn about ALL aspects of organizing beyond Election Day, please email us with your resume and a brief cover letter at networkforprogress@gmail.com ASAP.

You can also meet us at our Eventbrite-sponsored volunteer night at Woman's National Democratic Club on Monday: http://godcvolunteer.eventbrite.com
