Hi Progressive Communicators of DC,

This Thursday we are having on our Monthly 3rd Thursday event focused on Advocacy for the Win: Understanding the Gap Between Advocacy & Policymaking. This event will be an open discussion focused on:

• What do advocates think are the most important ways to take action?
• What do current and former senior legislative staff say are the best ways to influence a legislator who has not already made a firm decision on an issue?
• Are advocacy asks and advocate perceptions in alignment with how legislators are moved?

Come learn how the advocacy megaphone has gotten bigger and louder, but could be projecting in the wrong direction. Then, stay for happy hour and networking with your fellow do-gooders and friends at Salsa. The event will start at 4:30 at Salsa's office of 1700 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC, 20009 in Dupont. Our door faces R St in between Starbucks & Teaism. We will have food & drinks please feel free to stop by for the discussion or happy hour.
