    *Operations Director - MD Democratic Coordinated Campaign*
     
    *Overview*
     
    The Maryland Democratic Party is currently seeking qualified applicants for
    the position of Operations Director for the Maryland Democratic Coordinated
    Campaign. The Operations Director is responsible for working with and
    supporting the operations and logistical needs of the entire campaign.
     
    *Responsibilities*
     
     
    - Work to setup offices, utility and internet set up, assets, supplies,
    and resources
    - Maintain leases, contracts and vendor relations
    - Develop processes and systems to track moving pieces and improve
    efficiency
    - Oversee logistics for events and field program activities
    - Ensure campaign has resources to successfully meet goals
    - Assist with compliance and human resource functions of campaign
    - Manage operational tasks and initiatives

    *Requirements*
     
     
    - Highly organized and detail-oriented
    - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with long hours
    - Understanding of IT, HR, budgeting, logistics and general operations
    - Experience with data management software
    - Experience working on or with campaign or political organizations
    preferred

    *Field Director - MD Democratic Coordinated Campaign *
     
    *Overview*
     
    The Maryland Democratic Party is currently seeking qualified applicants for
    the position of Field Director (FD) for Maryland's Democratic Coordinated
    Campaign. The Field Director is part of the state leadership team and will
    help manage field operations for electoral success in 2012
     
    *Responsibilities*
     
    The Field Director will create and execute the field campaign plan in
    collaboration with the MD Coordinated leadership team, field staff, and
    volunteer leaders. The field plan will reflect the needs, capacity and
    political reality of the state and will allow for appropriate goals to be
    set for field staff. The FD must balance the day-to-day management of all
    field staff with focus on the overall direction and success of the field
    program.
     
    *Requirements*
     
     
    - Previous field experience on a campaign
    - Ability to write a comprehensive, data-driven field plan
    - Experience managing staff
    - Skilled in empowering and training staff to improve performance
    - Ability to delegate and hold staff accountable
    - Familiarity with campaign technology platforms
    - Comfortable with data management and field analysis
    - Knowledge of Maryland politics

    The Maryland Democratic Party is currently seeking qualified applicants for
    the position of Communications Director. The Communications Director will
    manage the Party's messaging, media and digital strategy.
     
    *Responsibilities:*
     
     
    - Developing and directing a communication strategy and plan
    - Directing proactive and rapid response communications
    - Promoting Party's work by pitching local events, writing press
    releases and overseeing press events
    - Writing and editing external communications, including talking points,
    press releases, emails and op-eds
    - Overseeing Party's digital channels including the website, blog and
    social networks
    - Building and maintaining relationships with local media
    - Monitoring local media and providing insight and feedback
    - Supporting other Party operations, as necessary
     
    *Requirements:*
     
     
    - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in public relations,
    preferably with on-the-record experience
    - Excellent oral and written skills
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with long hours
    - Organized and able to prioritize
    - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    - Familiarity with social media and best practices in online organizing
    - Positive, fun and energetic attitude
    - Experience with campaign operations and political communications
    preferred
    - Knowledge of Maryland politics preferred

    *Regional Field Director - MD Democratic Coordinated Campaign*
     
    *Overview*
     
    The Maryland Democratic Party is currently seeking qualified applicants for
    the position of Regional Field Director (RFD) for the Coordinated Campaign.
    Regional Field Directors will be the face of Maryland Democrats across the
    state and will assist the Field Director in implementing the field plan for
    electoral success in 2012. There are multiple positions.
     
    *Responsibilities*
     
    The primary responsibility of RFDs is to build and grow teams of volunteers
    who will conduct voter contact in line with the Maryland Democratic
    Coordinated Campaign Field Plan. RFDs will identify, train and work with
    volunteer leaders and support them in holding phone banks, canvasses and
    other activities that will increase support for President Obama and
    Maryland Democrats. RFDs will organize events, maintain offices and build
    relationships with local leaders and activists. RFDs will report directly
    to the Field Director and other State leadership.
     
    *Requirements*
     
     
    - Previous field experience on a campaign
    - Ability to implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan
    - Experience working with and managing volunteers
    - Familiarity with campaign technology platforms
    - Ability to multi-task, achieve goals, meet deadlines and creatively
    problem solve
    - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and shows attention to
    detail
    - Knowledge of Maryland politics
