(Career Progress) Hiring Immediately- Deputy field director for city wide race

City Wide Campaign Deputy Field Director (DC)

Position: DC Race seeks a Deputy Field Director. The Deputy Field Director will plan, manage, and direct the entire field infrastructure of the campaign, including five full-time Field Organizers. The Deputy Field Director will lead the campaign's voter targeting and contact goals and will report to the Campaign Manager.

Deputy Field Director Responsibilities Include:

· Ability to write and implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan built on the Neighborhood Team organizing model

· Train and manage a field team to execute said complex field plan

· Set, meet, and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement, and GOTV

· Design and standardize best practices for data management using the campaign's voter file software (VAN)

· Establish a strong professional culture within the field organization focused on accountability, specific goals, utilization of best practices, innovation, and sense of purpose

· On occasion, coordinate field organizing with fundraising operations

· Manage the field program budget and logistics in collaboration with Campaign Manager

Deputy Field Director Qualifications:

· At least one cycle of field experience, preferably two or more

· Experience managing and training high performing volunteers and, preferably, staffers

· Experience with and ability to train on Votebuilder (VAN)

· Ability to design, maintain and improve a goal-oriented accountability structure without compromising staff autonomy or innovation

· Strong understanding of the Neighborhood Team organizing model

· A true self-starter who is a detail-oriented team player

· Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; successful at motivating staff to meet recruitment and voter contact goals

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent deadlines

· Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment

· Access to reliable transportation required
