[Unicum] Please support the Mixed Choir of Dunaújváros to be able to attend at the Carnegie Hall, NY

Dear Friends, and Acquaintances,

Exploiting the strength of the Internet, I would like to ask for your support in sending our chorus of 140 Hungarian talented volunteers from Dunaújváros to New York. Our choir, the Mixed Choir of Dunaújváros, celebrated its 60th birthday this year, is made up of 140 talented individuals from the United Choirs of Dunaújváros, The Mixed Choir of Széchenyi István Secondary Grammar School, “Kanászok” folk music and folk dance group (also from the group of secondary school pupils),  and the Bona Vox Women’s Choir.

In response to an invitation to Carnegie Hall, New York, we have the honor to perform in the Global Sing for Peace event in January 21st 2013. We will perform the almost 70 minutes long creation called “The Armed Man – Mass for Peace” by Karl Jenkins. In addition, we plan performances other than at the Carnegie Hall. Arriving two days earlier we would give independent pre-shows to the Hungarian audience at many locations in New York City. We are excited to have this once in a lifetime opportunity.

That is why I am asking you dear readers and friends to sponsor us. Sponsor us to represent our homeland in this programme and to celebrate the Hungarian Culture Day with the local Hungarian community and help us make our concert memorable to our American compatriots as well.

We are looking for supporters, to fund our travel costs to this event and make it possible for us to represent the Hungarian culture. You can help us the following ways:

1.      Transfer money to “Dunaújvárosi Vegyeskar New York” bank account at OTP Bank, with an account number of 11736037-20588492 or you can transfer money to: http://www.gofundme.com/1hxf2c
