Jim—

Election Day is over. While most organizers are taking a well-deserved nap and time with family and friends, the big question on everyone's mind is: what's next?

Thousands of talented organizers — from campaign managers to digital directors to field staff — are coming off campaigns big and small. At the same time, organizations are gearing up for the big issue and legislative fights in 2013. And we want to help you find each other.

We're excited to launch Work Forward, our newest initiative to help progressives find a great job, and help organizations recruit the best talent. We've already got more than 500 positions listed, and more coming in every day!

Get started now. Create your profile or post your available positions on Work Forward.

You've probably used listservs or resume banks before. Work Forward is different - think of it like a Match.com for progressive jobs. Here's how it works:

  • Job seekers create an online resume, listing your skills, work history, and interests. We'll give you a list of jobs that match your interests and experience, and you can also browse all available jobs. When a new job that fits you is posted, you'll get a notification, and you can apply for jobs directly through the site.

  • Employers create an organizational profile and a listing for each job. Based on the posting, we'll provide a list of talented organizers who meet your needs. You can invite them to apply, and all applicants will be sorted based on how closely they match the position. You'll also be able to browse all the profiles to find interesting candidates who might not be a perfect match.

There's lot of work to do in the coming months and years. We know that it can be scary to not know what's next when you're coming off a campaign. We also know how challenging it can be to find the right person when you're filling a position. We're here to help. Start by creating your profile with Work Forward, and keep changing the world.

Best,

Judith
