Logline: It's 1976. A feisty preteen desperate to grow up learns how tough it truly is when her world collides with her super cool 16-year-old babysitter.

Tight Jordache jeans, platform shoes and cigarettes, Cleo is everything 12-year-old Dolores, Cleo's babysitting charge, wants to be. She has a devil-may-care air that says she doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks. But behind this cool aloofness is a deep insecurity that Cleo works hard to hide. She thinks she knows it all. Till her world collides with Dolores'.

Juan is reminiscent of Freddie Prinze ("CHICO AND THE MAN"). He is the incarnation of cool. Juan's raging teenage hormones, though, have a conflict–Cleo's not ready to take their relationship to the next level, and he really likes her.
