[SCOW] ASA iphone app (Free till Friday)

The American Sailing Association has released a new iphone app and it is free to download till midnight on Friday after which they will start charging.

 

I downloaded it and have to say it looks very useful! Here are some of included features:

 

- Compass, position (Lat, Long), speed, bearing

- Log book

- Picture guide to buoys, lights and flags

- Video guide (on docking, spring lines, winches, trim, heaving to, etc...)

- Glossary of sailing terms

- Knots guide

 

On your iPhone, simply open up the App Store icon

and search for "American Sailing Association." Then touch the "Install" button.
