This position serves as webmaster for the County Council and other offices of the Legislative Branch. Contacts include Councilmembers and their personal staffs, the Council central staff, information technology specialists in County agencies, vendors, and individuals outside the government.
The work of this position involves enhancing the design and implementation of content for Legislative Branch websites, including those of individual Councilmembers. This includes working with the Department of Technology Services to develop and maintain website content and applications; developing new web pages; establishing procedures allowing for content updating by end users; leveraging web resources on platforms such as smart phone apps, print media, and email campaigns; and researching and developing new web services and features.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience as a website designer.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Criteria
Resume must include information specific to the preferred criteria listed below. Make sure that your resume references your knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to the preferred criteria. Ideally, the preferred criteria should be addressed in a separate section in your resume. The system only allows for one document to be submitted so your preferred criteria must be part of the resume.
1. Experience in using HTML coding, social media, and cloud-based web services.
2. Experience in creating and supporting innovative graphic design changes and communications tools.
3. Experience in handling multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
4. Experience in mentoring staff in web design and implementation.

All applicants will be reviewed by OHR to determine whether or not they meet minimum qualifications for the position. All applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be reviewed and rated by subject matter experts based on the Preferred Criteria. Based on the results of Preferred Criteria evaluation, applicants will be rated and placed on the Eligible List as either "Qualified" or "Well Qualified". The highest rated applicants will be placed on the Eligible List and may be considered for interview. Employees meeting minimum qualifications who are same grade or higher will be placed on Eligible List as a "Transfer" candidate and may be considered for interview. Note: In the event there are 5 or less minimally qualified candidates, all will be placed on the Eligible List as Qualified and will be interviewed.
