Re: [SCOW] Tomorrow! Social Sail at 6 pm Pies!!

The wind is up, the pie is made, and it's still hot! For those not able to face even warm food, we'll have a pesto chicken-pot-pie salad and cold drinks, to compliment our other pie-food. Join the Pied Pirates for some hot fun tonight!

We're so pleased that NPR is following our lead by featuring our favorite food all week with "Pie Week!"

For the cooks in SCOW, you'll certainly want to check out the recipes in Adrienne Kane's new book, The United States of Pie. http://www.amazon.com/United-States-Pie-Regional-Favorites/dp/006206407X
And check out "A Pie a Day," KCRW's celebration of pie! Evan Kleiman, host of Good Food is starting her summer of pies today.

Hope to see you despite the heat!
