[SCOW] Social Sails Volunteers Needed

Hello SCOW,

Anyone who's attended a Thursday night social sail knows what a special time it can be. I don't know about others, but all winter long I look forward to these summer nights, being around friends, having a casual dinner and taking people out for sails. If this were a company like Facebook, it would be the perfect business model. It just works: cheap  (most nights just $5.00) but delicious dinner, 20 minute sailing excursions (for free!), meeting new people, and all under the umbrella of a summer night's sunset and a view of our nation's monuments. What more could one ask for? How lucky we are to live in an area that offers things like this.

However, we are still in desperate need of volunteers for the next two weeks.

Can you consider the position of  host, co-host or dockmaster for the following two Thursday nights:

Thurs May 24th
Thurs May 31st

The club would greatly appreciate your help. As host, you don't need to cook, just to organize and pick up the food (pizza, Chinese take out, sub sandwiches, deli platters, etc) and you'll of course be fully reimbursed the night of the event. Of course if you choose to cook, we won't complain too much either.   J As co-host you just pick up about 10 or so bottles of soda and ice, and as dockmaster you assure attendees are signed up and you coordinate who goes on which boat, etc (which can, from my experience, be quite a challenge; hope you are a good multitasker and have a loud voice!)

Thanks,

Jim Klein (Social Sail Assistant to Director Anna for the month of May)
