Job Opportunity: Bilingual Field Organizers
Crossroads Campaign Solutions is looking for experienced Field Organizers to oversee and operate a 2012 501(c)(3) field program in the Northeastern United States.
Position Description:
· Conduct neighborhood outreach in underrepresented communities of color, specifically in Latino and Asian American communities.
· Build relationships with neighborhood leaders and other stakeholders.
· Organize participation in community meetings, public events and demonstrations, voter education and mobilization initiatives, and other forms of civic engagement.
· Provide leadership development training to build the capacity of neighborhood leaders.
· Develop training materials and curriculum as necessary.
· Supervise interns and coordinate volunteers.
· Support the work of the organization as a whole.
Qualifications:
· Strong commitment to social and economic justice
· MINIMUM 1 solid year of experience in labor, community, political, or faith-based organizing.
· Experience with popular education and leadership development training.
· Accountability to both team goals and individual workplan goals.
· Willingness and aptitude for learning new techniques, ideas, and skills.
· Excellent personal organization, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish with good written and oral communication skills.
· Experience working in multi-cultural settings.
· Basic administrative skills helpful.
Terms of Employment: This is a full time, exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience. The position requires that you have access to an automobile and will require long and/or irregular hours of work, including evenings and weekends as needed.
