County Field Directors for a Democratic Northeastern US Senate Campaign Needed

A northeastern US Senate race is hiring county field directors to manage and implement an aggressive field and GOTV program in their respective regions though November. Applicants will be highly motivated self-starters, dedicated to winning and to maintaining a Democratic majority in the Senate, and have at least one, but preferably two cycles of field experience under their belt.

Duties & Oversight/Responsibilities

·       Manage field organizers, paid canvassers and volunteers to meet voter contact benchmarks

·       Manage the implementation of the county field plan

·       Recruit volunteers, and maintain and develop the volunteer database

·       Conduct phone bank and canvass trainings and manage those programs

·       Prepare walk packets and phone bank call lists

·       Provide daily reports from the field on voter contact and volunteer recruitment

·       Build and run a precinct captain program

·       Execute a grassroots-driven GOTV program

Requirements

·       Good interpersonal skills, organization and a commitment to Democratic values

·       Experience managing paid canvasses is preferred

·       Experience using the VAN is required

·       A good sense of humor

·       Effective organizational and time-management skills

·       The ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       The ability to work independently, as well as collaborate on a team

·       Demonstrated ability to think creatively and take initiative

·       Confidence meeting aggressive goals and new challenges head on

·       The ability to work well under pressure

Applicants should expect to work long hours, weekends and holidays, have reliable transportation and the ability to relocate through the November general election.
