Civic Nation seeks a part-time Associate to provide administrative support to the Director of People Operations and assist with employee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
ABOUT THE PEOPLE OPERATIONS TEAM
The People Operations department manages all human resources-related functions across the organization. The department ensures the organization recruits, hires, trains, and retains strong talent who are able to effectively fulfill their roles. The department also administers compensation and benefits; provides policies, procedures, and people-friendly guidelines and support to employees; and makes sure that the organization's mission, vision, and values are part of the organizational culture.

YOUR IMPACT
Support the Director of People Operations with the execution of human resources administrative activities, including, but not limited to:
Posting internship and job opportunities on the organization's internal platform, Greenhouse, as well as on public job-boards
Preparing offer letters for new hires
Coordinating onboarding process for new hires
Verifying new hires eligibility for employment
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee data in the organization's HR platform, Justworks
Ensuring hourly employees submit timesheets in a timely manner and that timesheets are approved by supervisors prior to the deadline
Coordinating offboarding process for departing employees
Duties as assigned.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Prior experience providing administrative support
Proficiency using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Familiarity and comfort working in Slack, Zoom, and other online platforms and/or databases
YOUR COMPETENCIES
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective organization, planning, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask
COMPENSATION & EXPECTED HOURS
This is a part-time, non-exempt position paid at the hourly rate of $15.20 per hour. The successful candidate is expected to work 10-15 hours per week.

All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment at Civic Nation unless an exemption or deferral has been approved. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after they get their second dose of a messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine, such as Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna, or two weeks after a single dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
New employees must be fully vaccinated before their start date unless an exemption due to a medical condition or a sincerely held religious belief or practice is granted.
