GALVANIZE: Dctheatrescene.com is posting "music that sustains us" .

What music (or poetry/words) sustains you in this time we are in?

In an effort to, as Paul Laurence Dunbar said - "speak some words of comfort to each other in distress" - dcthearescene.com has been asking people to send a youtube link of a song (or poetry) that responds to the question above, along with a statement about the piece.

If you want to respond,

Please email me a link to a youtube presentation of a song or poem/word that sustains you. We are currently emphasizing music and poetry by people of culture/people of the global majority (sometimes called people of color)

Include with the link, answers to the following questions.

1. Who you are (brief but informative, including your involvement with the arts, especially theater ).

2. What is your relationship to this particular work?

I will forward your response for possible posting on the dctheatrescene.com website.

We would like to have this content be the majority of our site for as long as is needed.

 Thank you for considering this.
