    About the Campaign:

Fairfax County Supervisor John Foust is the Democratic nominee running to
represent Virginia's 10th Congressional District in the United States
Congress. As Supervisor, John has demonstrated that he is a problem solver
who listens to and respects the opinions of others. John is running to
bring that same kind of consensus-building to Washington.

John Foust has been named to the DCCC's coveted Red to Blue Program for
surpassing aggressive fundraising, organization, and infrastructure goals,
and we are proud to work to turn the 10th District Blue for the first time
in 34 years. We are looking for talented and hard-working campaign
professionals who are committed to electing a Democrat and taking back the
    House majority.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are implementing a Neighborhood Team-based program, proven to be the
most effective community organizing strategy. The primary responsibility of
a Field Organizer is to recruit, train, and manage volunteers who can
organize their communities and neighborhoods into teams that will register,
persuade, and turn out voters. Field Organizers will learn and implement
all key tactics for this strategy including:

    • Engaging new potential volunteers through phone calls and canvassing

    • Holding 1:1 meetings with potential volunteers organizers to discuss
shared goals and strategy, develop relationships, and plan action together

    • Holding House Meetings to bring supporters together in communities to
strategize about what the campaign should look like in their neighborhoods

    • Empowering new voters through voter registration

    • Using social networks to help amplify our message and to talk about the
    work that we do

    • Recruiting, coaching, and developing local teams of individuals who are
willing to work together to hold outreach events to other potential
    volunteers and voters

    • Planning and executing events with other campaign staff and volunteers
    within the community

    • Entering, organizing, and maintaining data from all of our community
    interactions

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting
deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously

    • Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours

    • Candidates must have the ability to communicate with diverse communities
    and leaders

    • Candidates will preferably have experience working with volunteers
