(Career Progress) Competitive Congressional Race in Massachusetts Seeking Field Organizers - COMPETITIVE PAY

Competitive Congressional race in Massachusetts is seeking FIELD ORGANIZERS to ramp up aggressive field program.

 

This is an opportunity to play a large and impactful role in the campaign. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and build connections.

 

Field Organizer responsibilities:

-Engaging potential volunteers through call time

-Holding 1-on-1 meetings with grasstops and potential volunteers to discuss goals and strategy, build relationships, and plan action

-Organizing House Meetings to engage supporters and activate supporters to organize in their communities

-Empowering volunteers to become leaders and help develop the campaign's volunteer infrastructure

-Recruiting, training, and coaching interns and volunteers on best practices for community organizing, volunteer recruitment, voter contact, and data management

-Representing the campaign at local events

-Entering, organizing, and maintaining all data

-Reporting all quantitative and qualitative data on a nightly basis

-Researching and developing a strong knowledge of turf

 

Field Organizer qualifications:

-Strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and an ability to manage several tasks simultaneously

-A passion for building and maintaining relationships with volunteers each and every day

-Meticulous attention to detail

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-A willingness to learn and work long hours, including evenings and weekends.

-A strong willingness to share your personal story about why working on political campaigns is important to you

-Outgoing and passionate about building relationships with volunteers

-Experience organizing rural areas is a plus, but not required

-Proficiency working with Votebuilder (VAN) is a plus, but not required

-Proficiency working with Microsoft Office and Google Docs

-Access to a reliable vehicle and reliable laptop

-Must live in Boston Area
