    Platform Innovation Manager

Since 2011, when MoveOn launched our public petition platform (originally
called SignOn.org, now simply MoveOn Petitions<http://petitions.moveon.org/>),
more than 40,000 people have launched campaigns using our toolset,
collecting nearly 30 million signatures, generating thousands of press
hits, and winning countless policy victories.

Now, we're working to expand MoveOn's petition platform into a full suite
of online campaign tools to empower event organizing, fundraising, and
other campaign tactics to help MoveOn members run and win even more
    victories.

We're hiring a top-notch online organizer to help lead this effort. In this
job, you'll have both the independence and resources to achieve
breakthrough innovations, working hand in hand with an all-star team of
programmers, media professionals, analytics experts, and campaigners.

If you're a powerhouse organizer thrilled by the challenge of using
technology to help MoveOn's 8 million members change the world, and/or a
techie with deep project development and management experience who's
hungering to do something to make the world better, then this job is for
    you.

    *Key responsibilities:*

    - Create new ways for MoveOn members to use our online events platform
    for local, volunteer-led campaigns.
    - Develop new crowd-sourced fundraising strategies to allow MoveOn
members to access funding for their own campaigns.
    - Use a combination of organizing judgment and quantitative analysis to
prioritize campaigns for MoveOn support in the form of email blasts,
    funding, and other resources.
    - Work closely with our team of programmers to write specs for and QA
    test new tools and features.

    *Job Requirements:*

    - Strong experience running large grassroots campaigns, including
Internet organizing, social media, managing volunteers, and generating
    earned media.
    - Superlative writing for popular audiences and political campaigns.
    - Interest in analytic, data-driven approaches to problem solving.
    - Expert knowledge of the latest online tools and emerging technologies.
    - Experience with constituent relationship management systems a plus.
(i.e. Salsa, Convio, Blue State Digital).
    - Willingness to work as part of a team while also managing large
    projects independently.
    - Desire to work in an environment demanding constant innovation,
experimentation, and, inevitably, a high rate of failure for new ideas.
    - Strong aptitude for technology. Useful skills include HTML, CSS, SQL,
and command-line interfaces. A plus to candidates who have experience with
Perl, Mason, JavaScript, jQuery, or version control (especially SVN).

*Location*: Anywhere in the continental U.S.—MoveOn operates on a virtual
    office model, collaborating online.

*Salary*: Salary is highly competitive and benefits include health and
dental insurance and four weeks of vacation.

    To Apply: Go to
    http://front.moveon.org/about/jobs/moveon-job-application-form to submit
your application, resume, and a cover letter that explains why you are a
    good fit for the position.

*MoveOn.org Civic Action and MoveOn.org Political Action are equal
    opportunity employers.*

    Platform Content Manager

Time and again, MoveOn has changed the face of politics in America by
harnessing the power of the Internet and our 8 million members. And now
we're changing the game again by turning our online campaign toolset
inside-out and giving everyday folks the resources to run their own
MoveOn-style campaigns on the issues they care about most.

Since 2011, when MoveOn launched our public petition platform (originally
called SignOn.org, now simply MoveOn Petitions<http://petitions.moveon.org/>),

hits, and winning countless policy victories.

We're looking for an exceptionally strong writer with a nose for hot
campaigns and viral content who can turn an amazing stream of
user-generated content into featured web content and email alerts that
    really sing.

    *Key responsibilities:*

    - Craft member-submitted petitions, event invitations, call alerts, and
other content into maximally powerful and effective email alerts.
    - Evaluate new campaigns and prioritize those that should receive
additional support from MoveOn in the form of email support, funding, or
    other resources.
    - Optimize email content and layout to drive social media sharing.
    - Use online strategies to recruit thousands of local progressive
leaders to start and run campaigns with MoveOn's toolset.
    - Act as a key point of contact with leading organizations and elected
    officials.

    *Requirements:*

    - Superlative writing for popular audiences and political campaigns.
    - Experience running grassroots campaigns featuring Internet organizing.
    - Interest in analytic, data-driven approaches to problem solving.
    - Expert knowledge of the latest online tools and emerging technologies.
    - Experience with constituent relationship management systems a plus.
(i.e. Salsa, Convio, Blue State Digital).
