GALVANIZE: Research Grant Deadline is Sunday

Subject: Research Grant Deadline is Sunday

Research Grant Deadline
This program enables DC-area visual artists to further their practices through research and idea development. The $5,000 grants can be used to compensate applicants for their intellectual labor, for costs associated with gaining access to specific resources, and/or to pay other artists and thinkers for their time and contributions.

Applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of artists and arts professionals. We anticipate awarding 12 grants. The grant period is from November 2020–June 2021. Deadline to apply is THIS Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 11:59 pm ET.

For details and to apply, visit wherewithalgrants.org.

You can find the recording of the Information Session from July 16 here.

Please email Nathalie von Veh at nvonveh@wpadc.org with any questions!

Perfect Knowledge of the Ground
Curated by Raina Martens
In May, we mailed limited edition care packages to 25 DC-area residents which included seeds and a reader highlighting alternative agricultural practices. We've been updating our Instagram with photos of seeds as they've been growing in gardens and windowsills across the region. If you've been tending to seeds from this project, keep sharing your pictures with us!
