[Unicum] Fwd: Hungarian Events 1/19/2014 & 1/20/2014 - Please forward

A Dunaújvárosi Egyesített Kórus, mely nemrég ünnepelte hatvanadik születésnapját, hetvenhárom énekese New York-ba érkezik és fellép a következő időpontokban:

 

1.   Január 19, 2014 18:30-kor New York-ban a 82. utcai Magyar Házban ünnepi hangversenyt ad a Magyar Kultúra Napja alkalmából magyar szerzők, többek között Kodály Zoltán és Bartók Béla műveivel. Az Újvárosi Kanászok pedig népdalokkal és néptánccal várják a kedves érdeklődőket. Az est ingyenes.

 

2.     Január 20, 2014 19:00 órakor a Carnegie Hall Auditóriumban, 280 fős kórus tagjaként Karl Jenkins walesi zeneszerző Arany János versére komponált A walesi bárdok című alkotását éneklik. Ezen a hangversenyen felcsendül még Karl Jenkins Stabat Mater, valamint a Benedictus tétel a The Armed Man Mass for Peace miséből.

The United Choir of Dunaújváros performs:

1.      On January 19, 2014 at 6:30 PM the United Choir of Dunaújváros performs at the Hungarian House, NY for the Hungarian Heritage Day. The concert includes work by Zoltán Kodály, Béla Bartók and others. In addition, the "Kanászok" group presents Hungarian folksongs and folkdances.   

            Location: Hungarian House, 213 East 82. Street New York.

            Free.

2.      In response to an invitation to Carnegie Hall, seventy-three members of the United Choir of Dunaújváros have the honor to perform on January 20, 2014 at 7 PM.

They perform the US premiere of Jenkins's The Bards of Wales, the piece of Stabat Mater, and Benedictus from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.
