(Career Progress) JOB: Candidate Coordinator - Progressive Majority (DC)

Progressive Majority is a national organization dedicated to recruiting and electing candidates who will fight for a broad progressive economic and social agenda. Progressive Majority identifies and recruits progressive champions to run for state and local office and provides them with the comprehensive, political technical assistance they need to run competitively. Progressive Majority is based in Washington, DC.

 
Progressive Majority is currently seeking quality candidates for the position of Political Coordinator.

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for maintaining regular contact with the Progressive Majority Farm Team (approximately 800 people), developing cultivation and networking opportunities for our farm tam members, tracking individual progress through the political program and maintaining a comprehensive contact relations manager for every farm team member.

·          Develop relationships with the Progressive Majority farm team and promote participation to create a lasting bond and positive experience for individual candidates;

·          Serve as communication liaison for Progressive Majority events and trainings in order to encourage participation in programs and trainings;

·          Proactively recruit potential candidates in targeted districts/areas to assist farm team members moving through the political program;

·          Assist in moving potential progressive candidates through the Progressive Majority political program by tracking individuals progress through the political program;

·          Build and maintain candidate database for tracking purposes and in order to generate reports, statistics and other data regarding the farm team;

·          General administrative office responsibilities; and

·          Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

What we're looking for:

·          Effective networker who has demonstrated the ability to cultivate mutually advantageous relationships;

·          Outstanding presentation and communication skills, and the experience and proclivity to be an outgoing spokesperson and relationship builder;

·          Passion for advancing the political success of others;

·          Demonstrated commitment to the value of data to affect political change;

·          Motivated, organized self-starter and able to work well without constant supervision;

·          Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities;

·          At least 1 cycle of campaign experience (management preferred); and

·          Experience with NGP, SALSA, Highrise and data management a plus
