Hi, We would like to invite you to Ti Ti Tábor, the oldest running weeklong Hungarian Folk Camp in North America. Ti Ti Tábor is a (pending) non-profit organization offering a rich immersion experience into authentic Hungarian folk culture for adults and children alike. In its 21st year, our camp brings experts from Hungary to teach folk dancing, music, singing, and traditional folk arts. Whether you are a long time camper or someone with no previous experience with Hungarian culture, this camp offers something for everyone! DANCE PROGRAM ~ Suitable for all experience levels, we will be exploring dances from the the Galga-menti region in Hungary and the Mezőkölpényi region in Transylvania. MUSIC PROGRAM ~ Instruction on traditional folk instruments is offered. Lessons will focus on learning the melodies and playing style of the Galga-menti and Mezőkölpényi regions. CHILDREN'S PROGRAM ~ NEW! Our newly expanded children's program offers something for children of all ages. Children will explore Hungarian folk tales through dance, songs, folk crafts, and games. SINGING PROGRAM ~ NEW! Brand new this year, singing lessons in both folk and classical styles will be offered in groups and individual formats. EVENING DANCE PARTY ~ Each day culminates in the nightly, recreational folk dance party, or táncház, held to live music. A children's táncház will be held each evening before the regular táncház. OTHER ACTIVITIES ~ Throughout the week opportunities for additional fun include a Hungarian banquet, ice cream social, bonfire, puzzles, swimming, and canoeing, just to name a few! Early bird registration is now open. You can save up to $65 with the Early Bird prices and if you pay in-full by March 31st, we will throw in a free camp T-shirt! We are pleased to offer online registration for campers this year with payment through PayPal as well as our usual mail-in registration form. For more details, visit our website at www.tititabor.org, email us at tititabor@gmail.com, and join us on Facebook. We hope you can share this information about our Hungarian camp with members of your organization. This camp is unique in that it gives Hungarian speaking participants a chance to learn in their own language. All lessons are in Hungarian and translated into English so that everyone is included! It is a fun-filled week with a family atmosphere! Zsolt Móricz, Kati Gyulai, Rush Velcsov, Kathryn Isely, Sue Isely Ti Ti Tábor Board |
