Rally.org Seeks Public Relations Interns

Rally.org is largest fundraising platforms empowering causes that matter. Be a part of a cutting edge press team, dedicated to getting press coverage for causes on the Rally.org platform. We know that when our causes receive press coverage, we both win. We've helped amazing individuals like Alvaro Salas, a young man who raised $100,000 to go to Cornell; or Katie the youngest ever recipient of the Clinton Global Initiative's Global Citizen Award ; or Reverend Oliver White save his local church.
Our team is seeking press interns, eager to learn the ropes of the media. Interns will learn about the media cycle, pitching, and crafting press releases for a number of admirable causes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of pitches and stories about our customers.
- Draft press releases related to Rally.org and our customers.
- Research customers and prepare materials.
- Contact journalists to pitch story ideas.
- Develop and update media lists and other databases.
- Other responsibilities as they emerge.
Desired Skills:
- Enrolled in or a recent graduate of a university public relations, marketing, or sales oriented program with 15-25 hours per week to dedicate to Rally.org.
- Current students will have completed at least 2 years of education.
- A working knowledge of Internet technologies, social media is necessary.
- A strong phone oriented demeanor.
- A sample of writing must be provided.
- Prior relevant experience is preferred.
