Holiday Party NEXT WEEK!
YCDC invites you to its annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 13th from 6:00pm-10:00pm at Sign of the Whale in Washington DC. All proceeds will be donated to City Year DC, a local organization which provides in-school academic support and after school programming to DC K-8 public school students. There will be a $5 donation at the door with 100% of the proceeds supporting City year DC. This $5 donation will get you drink and food specials until 10:00pm. Each guest will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets at the event for chances to win dozens of local gift cards, sponsored happy hours, and other prizes. Drink and food specials include: $3 mixed drinks (Smirnoff Vodka, Bacardi and Captain Rum, Jim Beam/Michael Collins Bourbon, Tanqueray Gin, Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea vodka and Jose Cuervo Tequila), $3 Select beers (Bud Light, Miller Lite, Budweiser, Coors Light, Shock Top, Yuengling drafts or bottles) and $3 house wine. As well as their select appetizer menu with $5 plain Burgers.
Spread the word to all of your friends and coworkers as YCDC celebrates the holiday season with the biggest networking event of the year, all while supporting such a great cause!

Happy Hour + Zoo Lights Networking Event!
Join YCDC for its Zoo Bar networking happy hour + Zoo Lights viewing on Wednesday December 19th. Should be a great time to network and enjoy the holiday spirit at the zoo!
WHO: YCDC + Friends/Colleagues
WHAT: Networking Happy Hour + Zoo Lights
WHEN: Wednesday December 19th, 6pm-9pm
WHERE: 2 locations:
- Zoo Bar, Adams Morgan Metro 6-8pm
- National Zoo, 8-9pm
WHY: One last chance to network before leaving town for the holidays. Also, zoo lights are awesome.
Volunteer Opportunity Coming Soon!!
YCDC and Kid Power will be seeking volunteers to help teach / facilitate middle school students a predetermined lesson plan on the importance of personal finance and savings accounts at a young age. Each lesson plan will require minimal commitment on each volunteer's behalf. Please look forward to more information in regards to this opportunity early 2013! | |
