Just a heads up....in our continued celebration of community and 16 years(🤯!) of GALVANIZE, very soon we're hoping to set up a Galvanize Night at the Movies for AILEY, the documentary about legendary choreographer, director, actor and trailblazing founder of Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Alvin Ailey.
However, we've been unable to find where it will be screening in the DC area. If you know of any clues, give a shout. It's due to open nationwide 8/6 and we're hoping to set up movie night within the next 2 weeks or so.
Previously, we've Galvanized films I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO, SUMMER OF SOUL and a couple others (I can't recall the names of right now). So keep it on your radar and if you're in the DC area, join us....when we actually have a date, of course. And check out the trailer below.
