Greetings,

I hope you all are well. I'm reaching out because I trust you all and need a lot of help for the next First Fifteen reading on Sunday, May 31st. I'm looking for strong actors who have a great internet connection, and they would need to be available for a Zoom tech rehearsal on May, 29th times TBD and on Sunday, May 31st (actor call at 2:30PM PT). They do not need to be in LA.

Feature-length

Logline: A young woman growing up into adulthood is still struggling with her youthful past and insecurities while trying to find her own voice.

KAYLA ALI: Female, 18-years old, first-born generation Trinidadian-American (Indian-Caribbean). She's quiet, shy, insecure, and heavy-set. However, she's highly creative and intelligent. (LEAD)

JADE: Female, 20-years old, African-American. She's the leader of the Creative Writers Club. She's driven, passionate, intelligent, and she intends to lead a helping hand to those who are seeking their higher purpose. (ONE SCENE)

ANG: Male, 18-years old, East Asian. He's an extreme introvert yet he's grounded and knows what his purpose is in life. (ONE SCENE--but will also read for LI)

LI: Male, 18-years old, East Asian. Chris' roommate who also deeply cares about fulfilling his needs.  (TWO SCENES will be played by the same actor who reads for ANG)

NATASHA ALI: Female, early-50s, Trinidadian (Indian-Caribbean). Natasha is a single mother to Kayla and Kareema. She is a strong woman who can hold her own but she carries a heavy secret on her shoulders. (SUPPORTING)

KAREEMA ALI: Female, early 20s, first-born generation Trinidadian-American. Kareema is a pilates instructor and she's in her last year of college. She seems to have overcome what Kayla is currently going through. However, she fails at every attempt to help her younger sister. (SUPPORTING)

MAIA KHANNA: Female, 18-years old, South Asian. Maia is Kayla's best friend. She is outgoing and cares deeply about her appearance. Her goal is to be center-of-attention. (TWO TO THREE SCENES)

CHRIS (KRISHNA) PATEL: Male, 18-years old, South Asian. Kayla's love interest who has no interest in her at all except for fulfilling his needs. (SUPPORTING)

For the comedy script, Name: Sophia: 

A newly single mother of two uses the quarantine as a chance to reshape her life. Having just moved in with her son, Sophia must learn modern dating rules and make space in the new place she calls home.

Bianca - W/Non Binary, 20s-30s,  black/brown; Tessa Thompson type

Charee - W, 40+, black/brown; Tichina Arnold

For the tragicomedy feature, MALUHIA "Peace":

After her lover's sudden death, Alison Lee, 30's, Asian American, self-absorbed, heart surgeon finds herself the legal guardian of her lover's kid, Tommy (10). With no other known relatives, Alison is forced to incorporate Tommy into her perfectly planned life, hurling her into challenges from parental duties to cultural clashes. As they finally find their stride, a relative shows up to claim Tommy.

Need one actor who will be double cast as the following:

Mrs. Kim - 60s Malu's mom, strict tiger mom, but also a little bit of an airhead.

Hawaiian Lady - musician/singer 50s with the aloha spirit (sings song at the beginning of script)
