Good morning everyone,
I hope all is well and that everyone is safe!
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH), in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), beginning today is now accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2020 CAH-NEA Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act grant program: https://dcarts.dc.gov/node/1476736
This grant program provides funding for individual artists and humanists, as well as arts and humanities organizations that have suffered financial losses due to COVID-19. The grants are competitive. Successful organizational applicants will receive $3,000 awards and individual applicants will receive $2,500 awards. The number of awards is subject to CAH's availability of funds and must be spent within CAH's Fiscal Year 2020 (i.e. by September 30, 2020).
Our agency's grant portal is now open and accepting applications. The deadline is set for 4:00 pm Eastern, Friday, May 15, 2020. Because this is an unusually short window, please feel free to share this opportunity with others in your network. In order to help expedite the distribution of these funds, the application and review processes are streamlined.
As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns!
Thank you,
Kamanzi Kalisa| Grants Manager
