CLEVELAND HUNGARIAN DEVELOPMENT PANEL SCHOLARSHIP
FOR DEBRECEN SUMMER SCHOOL’S
2019 SUMMER COURSE
call for applications:
Debrecen Summer School is happy to announce a call for applications to participate in a two-week course on Hungarian language and culture in the summer of 2018, open for citizens of the USA, generously supported by CHDP*. Applicants would need to be motivated to become special envoys of Hungarian culture in the United States and to remain DSS’s long-time partners in promoting Hungarian-American cooperation in their own communities.
Thus, scholarship-holders are expected to share their experiences with their immediate environment, including their families, coworkers or fellow-students, as well as to write an individual report on what they have learnt during their stay in Debrecen. These reports then will be posted at a special website to be created specifically for the purpose of commemorating the 90th birthday of DSS. The website will be designed to serve as a forum for all those American citizens/institutions who/which have had educational, cultural or any other kind of connections with Debrecen Summer School since 1927.
COURSE dates:
· Hungarian Language and Culture Summer Course: 21 July–3 August, 2019
· Hungarian Language and Culture Summer Course: 4–17 August, 2019
THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS:
· Tuition fee (without teaching material)
