This is a light heart question about how to translate an American Expression into Hungarian. I Looking for a Hungarian translation the southern expression "Well Bless Your Heart"
While this expression can mean different things in context, I am looking for translation of the phrase when its used as very gentle and polite way of expressing frustration or disgust with the person you are saying it to.
As my southern born wife as explained to this Yankee - a proper southern lady should never use vulgarity in public and would use an expression such as "Well Bless your heart" to express contempt for a person or situation.
I am first generation and my Hungarian is limited (and I can only read at a very limited level)
not looking to start a debate about the Southern Manners, Southern History etc but looking a lighted hearted discussion on to translate the phrase within context.
thanks
Tony
P.S. If anyone know anything next weeks Hungarian Meeting near Stoughton Wi please send me directions and background in English.
Thanks again
Tony
