(Career Progress) DCCC Hiring - National Regional Field Directors

Position Summary: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is hiring Regional Field Directors (RFDs) for the 2016 campaign cycle. The RFD is responsible for management and oversight of all field operations for an assigned region of the country. Additionally, the RFDs will be responsible for the day to day voter database management needed to support Congressional Campaign Field programs. The RFD reports directly to the National Field Director, and is primarily responsible for supporting Congressional Campaign Field Directors in their region.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coach district Field Directors in program planning, targeting and execution
  • Work alongside National Field Leadership to develop and execute the field program
  • Work within regional pod structure to facilitate cohesion with the field program
  • Work with Congressional campaigns and state party programs to create voter contact universes
  • Analyze and produce daily quantitative reports reflecting progress towards specific goals in targeted districts to assess strength of program
  • Hold Field Staff accountable for quantitative field progress
  • Coordinate regional efforts of partner organizations and stakeholders
  • Develop regional field plans alongside National Field Director
  • Assist District Field Directors in developing District field plans
  • Advocate for, allocate, and manage regional field budgets and resources
  • Support District Field Director in management of their Field budget and resources
  • Assist Deputy Field Director in recruitment  of District Field Directors and staff
  • Train and develop District Field Staff
  • Proactive communicator of the field work conducted within their region with all levels of staff in the Committee
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Have at least two cycles of field experience
  • Strong management, coaching and training experience
  • Experience managing a budget and finances
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting systems
  • Ability to establish a culture of respect and community
  • Advanced proficiency with web-based voter file platforms such as VAN, Catalist, or PDI
  • A demonstrated ability to present data-driven recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
  • A record of building strong working relationships
  • Previously held Regional Field Director, Deputy Field Director, or Field Director Positions
  • Highly motivated to achieve winning results
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to communicate information with multiple partners and stakeholders with varying levels of experience
  • Position will be based in Washington, D.C.
  • Frequent travel required
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
