About the Campaign:

Fairfax County Supervisor John Foust is the Democratic nominee running to represent Virginia's 10th Congressional District in the United States Congress. As Supervisor, John has demonstrated that he is a problem solver who listens to and respects the opinions of others. John is running to bring that same kind of consensus-building to Washington.

John Foust has been named to the DCCC's coveted Red to Blue Program for surpassing aggressive fundraising, organization, and infrastructure goals, and we are proud to work to turn the 10th District Blue for the first time in 34 years.  We are looking for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing a Democrat and taking back the House majority.

Position Summary:

John Foust for Congress is recruiting experienced Regional Field Directors (RFDs) to work to secure the 10th District for a fantastic Democratic and ensure long-lasting gains in the House. RFDs will report directly to the Field Director, and will be primarily responsible for managing a team of organizers to meet campaign goals laid out in the field plan. RFDs will also receive support from the Campaign Manager and the Field Director to carry out responsibilities in addition to the traditional responsibilities of a field manager. Examples may include managing district training programs, paid phone or canvass programs, and data, operations, or voter registration programs.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • -          Understanding of the role of field tactics to win elections;
  • -          Have at least one cycle of paid field experience;
  • -          Experience recruiting, hiring, training and managing a team preferred;
  • -          Experience developing, training and empowering volunteers;
  • -          Previously held Field Organizer or Regional Field Director positions;
  • -          Frequent travel within the district may be required;
  • -          Commitment to building a culture of diversity, respect and excellence;
  • -          Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs;
  • -          Access to a vehicle;
  • -          Immediate availability and willingness to relocate preferred;
  • -          Commitment to turning the 10th District Blue
