(Career Progress) Digital Strategist Job Opening - Veracity Media

Veracity Media, a digital and political strategy consulting firm based in D.C., is looking to hire a scrappy yet efficient Lead Organizer/Digital Strategist.

It doesn't matter if you're from a campaign, non-profit, or tech background, if you're the type of person who understands the world of political campaigns and advocacy inside and out, we want you. Our lead organizer will be the point person for multiple clients, acting as a digital strategist that helps create engagement, raise money, connect with supporters, and ultimately, create change. While experience in politics or advocacy isn't required, it certainly helps, as we don't think it's possible to separate the technical side of organizing from the political side of organizing.

We work with a handful of high-profile political campaigns ranging from Sandra Fluke for State Senate to Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, from the Congressional and Gubernatorial level all the way down the food chain. We also work for large (sometimes international) nonprofits like Rebuild the Dream, and issue-based organizations across the country. You can check out the types of clients we work for on our website: http://www.veracitymedia.com/.

A typical project is working with a client through the website creation process, then working as a digital strategist to help them craft well written emails, organize their database, suggesting content to post on social media, drafting engagement strategy, etc. While we don't expect you to know how to do all of this at the onset, the ability and enthusiasm to learn is a must.

Applicants with online organizing experience, data analysis, content development, web skills of any kind or knowledge and experience using NationBuilder/NGP will be given special consideration.

To apply, email ryan@veracitymedia.com with a resume, a couple sentences on why you're the best candidate for the job, and your favorite ice cream flavor. Being located in, or relocating to, the D.C. area is a requirement.
