We are looking for energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic self-starters to join the Sales Team to promote Relay throughout the DC metropolitan area! Team members are expected to work as part of a dynamic team to lead our efforts to engage and capture new customers. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings which will primarily include door to door sales pitching Relay service and products to new customers. Duties may also include working small and large events, and canvassing on city streets. We need someone who is highly motivated, flexible, hard-working, and excited to work in an outdoor environment! Part-time positions are available, with the possibility to move into full-time.
More specifically you will be required to:
- · Pitch and sell Relay Foods’ services to new customers in busy areas outdoors in downtown Washington, DC and surrounding areas.
- · Create positive interactions with team members and new customers.
- · Engage in conversations regarding the local food movement and home cooking and/or food shopping.
- · MUST be able to work evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- · Highly self motivated, results driven, team player.
- · Outgoing, can do attitude!
- · Excellent oral communication skills.
- · Comfortable engaging new people
- · A passion for food.
- · A passion for sales.
Compensation
The compensation for this position is a highly competitive hourly rate plus commission plan. You receive commission for every sale you close. This position includes a full benefits package that includes vacation time on an accrual basis along with health care and disability insurance.
Positions are available in both our DC and Baltimore markets, we are particularly interested in individuals in the Fairfax County, VA and Montgomery County, MD.
