*OFA - Virginia is hiring Field Organizers! Field Organiz*ers (FOs) are the
face of Organizing for America in communities across Virginia, working to
advance President Obama's and the Democrats' agenda and grow the grassroots
movement for electoral success in 2012.
*Responsibilities*
The primary responsibility of an FO is to recruit, manage, and train
volunteers to organize their communities and neighborhoods into teams that
register, persuade, and motivate voters through making phone calls,
registering voters and canvassing. Their responsibilities include but are
not limited to developing a plan to organize their turf based on its unique
characteristics; identifying and cultivating volunteer team leaders;
planning and executing events and trainings; building relationships with
community leaders; and ensuring data integrity. FOs report directly to
their Regional Field Director.
*Requirements*
• Organizing mindset and can-do attitude
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and creatively
problem-solve
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player
• Attention to detail
