Your donations will be given to the musicians to cover their travel expenses.
 
 
Note:
We WON'T sell food and drinks at the venue! You are allowed to bring food and drinks. You are also allowed to bring your favorite dish or drink to share.
 
Bring soft dancing shoes! Check your dancing shoes to make sure there are no heel nails or anything sharp that would damage the dance floor.

Hungarian students and young professionals in the Washington,

DC Metropolitan Area cordially invite you and your friends to our

semiannual picnic. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and

music. (Bring soccer or volleyball, or parents, bring toys for the

children).

In recent years costs for both food and reservations have increased, so we have been

running a deficit. Donations guarantee the continuance of the picnics by providing the

funds for subsequent ones.

[Unicum] Seeking Full Time Nanny in Baltimore

We are a first generation Hungarian/Slovak American family living in Baltimore who are expecting twins this fall. Hopeful of continuing to enrich our lives and our children's lives in Eastern European heritage, we are seeking a live-in or live-out nanny arrangement with a Hungarian or Slovak-speaking caretaker. The position would be full-time during the work week (40 hours, 8:30-4:30) beginning approximately in mid January. Experience and references will be required. U.S. citizenship or paperwork allowing for work in the United States is also required.

If you are interested, or know someone who might be interested in the position, please be in touch with us. Recommendations on available good nannies/where to find good nannies in the area are welcome as well.

(Career Progress) [JOB] Communications Fellow for LOCUS Coalition

Smart Growth America seeks a Communications Fellow to support LOCUS, a national network of smart growth real estate developers and investors. The Fellow will be a core member of the LOCUS team and provide direct support to the LOCUS network of real estate developers and investors advocating for smart growth policies at the federal and regional levels.

Position Description
The ideal Communications Fellow is an excellent writer tapped in to news about national politics and smart growth development, who can create engaging content for our members, email lists and social media networks. Applicants should be dependable team players who can perform regular duties while also offering new ideas for how to make our work even better.

Responsibilities
The Communications Fellow's primary responsibilities include:

  • Writing and publishing original content for the LOCUS blog;
  • Directing social media campaigns on behalf of LOCUS;
  • Tracking and analyzing news about smart growth and transportation issues;
  • Drafting legislative summaries for network members, drafting advocacy materials on core network issues;
  • Design flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for major events hosted by LOCUS;
  • Tracking social media and web analytics;
  • Promoting our work to reporters and bloggers; and
  • Providing project-specific communications ideas and strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in smart growth or related areas;
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, and organizational skills;
  • Experience using Twitter and Facebook in a professional context;
  • Basic understanding of HTML or experience using content management systems (preferred);
  • Interest in contributing to communications strategy;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a definite plus.

Compensation
This Fellowship is a paid position.

Timeframe and Location
This position is full-time, 40 hours a week. Minimum commitment of six months required. This position is located at Smart Growth America's offices in Washington, DC. Candidate must be able to start immediately.

I am a mother of three adult children and also a grandmother of a 2,5 year old. I have over 35 years of experience raising and nurturing kids.I am from central Europe and recently moved to the United States to be with my oldest son and my granddaughter.I am a warmhearted , trustworthy

Mivel édesanyámat, (aki demenciában szenvedett ) évekig ápoltam, ezért idős-gondozásban is van némi tapasztalatom. Idős nénire ,bácsira is szivesen vigyázok rész munkaidőben.
Kiváló szakács vagyok, ha egy családnak a gondozás mellett arra lenne szüksége.
Az előző alkalommal lemaradt, hogy Centerville-ben lakom. Kb 20 mérföldes körzetben vállalom az utazást.

[Unicum] care

The picnic  is free but your tax-deductible contribution is welcome, with a suggested donation of $5.00 (less for a large family, babies, toddlers free).   Pay on site in cash or check.  Make checks payable to AHEA (American Hungarian Educators Association) and drop into the box at the picnic or send to: 4514 Willard Ave. #2210, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.

In recent years costs for both food and reservations have increased, so we have been running a deficit.  Donations guarantee the continuance of the picnics by providing the funds for subsequent ones.

Washingtoni magyar fiatalok szeretettel meghívnak Téged és Barátaidat félévenkénti piknikjükre. Ételrõl, italról és zenérõl gondoskodunk.
