Job Summary


This position reports directly to the ISG president and is responsible for assisting with the delivery of client support, Latino leader and organizational outreach, intergovernmental and advocacy services. The primary client assignment is Verizon in addition to providing staff support to the Latino Leaders Network and the ISG president as assigned.


Duties and Responsibilities


• Provide advocacy services, Latino outreach and intergovernmental support.

• Engage leaders and third-party groups on client issues.

• Assist clients build and manage relationships with stakeholder groups.

• Execute outreach, advocacy, and communication plans.

• Prepare background information meetings, briefings and events.

• Review policy briefs, papers, talking points and news releases.

• Schedule client and third-party group meetings.

• Provide client grant support to third-party groups.

• Liaison with ISG counsel to ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements for lobbying, campaigns, and elections.

• Manage logistics for client events including presenter and guest invitations, logo use, program ad requests and seating assignments.

• Assist with Latino Leader Network event preparations including on-site support to the Chairman, event coordinator, and sponsors.

• Travel as assigned to provide ISG client support.


Minimum Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree.

• Superior team player, positive attitude and integrity.

• Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.

• Command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong commitment to client satisfaction

• Ability to deliver assignments on-time

Preferred Qualifications

• One-year of relevant experience

• Relationships with Latino and other advocacy groups

• Spanish fluency

The Accounting Associate is an integral part of the Accounting team.  The right candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, and close attention to detail. Responsibilities  

  • Collection research and calls to clients with an outstanding balance
  • Client Outreach: maintain accounting inbox, including making updates to client accounts and managing incoming payments from clients
  • Answer payment status & billing questions for clients via phone and email
  • Billing follow up
  • Ability to work independently and complete monthly projects

Required Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrated interest in Democratic campaigns and politics
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple types of administrative tasks; strong attention to detail and accuracy; persistent follow-through skills
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently with guidance, but limited supervision; willing to think out-of-the-box and contribute ideas to assist in process improvement
  • Strong computer/Internet skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel; Salesforce.com and QuickBooks experience a plus.

[Unicum] PÁLYÁZATI FELHÍVÁS: Négynapos továbbképzés a nyugati diaszpórában működő hétvégi és délutáni iskolák magyartanárai számára

A Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium Nemzetközi Magyar Nyelvi Képzésekért és Oktatásért Felelős Főosztálya (NOF) 2019-ben is megrendezi a többéves hagyományokra visszatekintő négynapos továbbképzését a nyugati diaszpórában működő hétvégi és délutáni iskolák magyartanárai számára. A továbbképzés tervezett dátuma: 2019. október 10-13.


A NOF egyik legfontosabb alapfeladata a külhoni önkéntes pedagógusok szakmai támogatása, szakmai hálózatba szervezésük elősegítése. Ennek előmozdítása érdekében 2011 óta rendszeresen tart magyarországi és külföldi találkozókat az oktatási kérdések közös megvitatására, az összetartozás tudatának erősítésére.


A hétvégi magyar iskolák pedagógusai önkéntes munkájukkal segítik a külhoni magyar közösségek megmaradását. A meghirdetett programok évek óta támogatják tevékenységüket, törekvéseiket, fórumot biztosítva tapasztalataik átadására. A szoros együttműködés lehetővé teszi az igényeiknek megfelelő tananyagok készítését, továbbképzések szervezését.


A konferencia időtartama: 4 nap (2019. október 10-13.). A résztvevők számára a következőket biztosítjuk: szakmai programokon való ingyenes részvétel, módszertani tananyagok, étkezés, igény esetén szállás. About PolicyCrush

PolicyCrush is a daily email report that provides subscribers with the top health policy developments from the previous 24 hours. The report, published Monday through Friday, covers the hottest topics in health policy including the U.S. Congress and the Administration, Health Insurance, Health Information Technology, Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program, Medicare, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, and Quality and Innovation.

PolicyCrush uses a proprietary search process to obtain and alert subscribers to difficult-to-find federal government announcements and little-reported analytical pieces from think-tanks, stakeholders and policy influencers. Subscribers include health care providers and companies across the country, law firms and lobbying shops, trade associations, and health care consulting firms.

Position Description

Chamber Hill Strategies is looking to hire a Production Assistant to help with the daily content development and production of PolicyCrush. The Production Assistant will be responsible for following a detailed search process to locate all relevant documents for the following day's report and using our online email service to write and design the daily report. This position will involve 3-4 hours of active work each weekday. While the work can be completed on your own schedule throughout the day, at least one hour needs to occur after 4 PM and all work must be completed by 6 PM. The work will not require an on-site presence and can be completed offsite with a reliable Internet connection. This position is ideal for a full- or part-time graduate student who is looking for part-time work to engage in health policy.  Ideally, the selected candidate would be able to start by September 1, 2019.

Requirements

·       An ability to commit to working 3-4 hours/day, 5 days/week

·       Demonstrated experience performing online research

·       Superior writing skills

·       Be detail-oriented

·       Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

·       An ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines

·       Experience working in a professional environment

·       Interest in public policy and, specifically, health policy

Compensation:

A salary will be offered, commensurate with the successful applicant's skills and experience. No additional benefits will be provided. This position could provide an excellent start for someone looking to begin a career in public policy or health policy specifically. It will provide a means to become actively engaged in daily health policy developments and to work for an established health policy consulting firm.
