Senior Digital Organizing Manager, Immigrant Rights & Racial Justice

About CCC + CCCAction:

The Center for Community Change (CCC) builds the power and capacity of low-income people, especially low-income people of color, to lead powerful and dynamic movements for social change. With our community-based partner groups, we bridge the grassroots and the national, supporting outsider strategies to disrupt the status quo while also building pathways to influence the insider conversation.

The Senior Digital Organizing Manager will work across the Communications and Immigration teams to train and empower our partners with digital strategies and tools, as well as coordinate and implement administrative and technical support. This person must have a clear vision about how to use digital tools and best practices to mobilize thousands of supporters, and a demonstrated history of building institutional knowledge and infrastructure at a national scale.

The Senior Digital Organizing Manager will lead rapid response efforts to react quickly to news events about immigration reform, the DREAM Act, and other issues impacting immigrants. They and the Digital Campaigns Manager for Immigration will also be charged with shaping and guiding the long-term strategy for digital work in conjunction with the organizing efforts of CCC's Immigration team.

 Principal Responsibilities:

    • Representing the Digital team in all relevant Immigration meetings/gatherings
    • Leading the development of both long-term and rapid response digital work
    • Training Immigration team members on digital strategies and tactics, as necessary
  • Lead the creation of strong email, SMS, digital content, and social media communications plans to engage members in campaign activities, promote local and state events, and maximize list growth across channels and FIRM/A geographic regions.
  • Work with the Digital Team, the larger Communications team, Digital Campaigns Manager, Immigration Organizing team, FIRM/A and other groups as needed to develop comprehensive digital organizing, engagement, and advocacy strategies.
  • Work with coalition partners to develop comprehensive digital strategies, provide coverage and support for grassroots events, list-build, and mobilize groups around online calls-to-action.
  • Plan and manage a strong SMS strategy and program to organize and mobilize campaign members.
  • Explore and experiment with creative tactics for engaging audiences on social media, and via email and SMS channels
  • Draft engaging content, including SMS alerts, blogs posts, social media graphics, and other content as needed.
  • Manage relationships with partner organizations and identify opportunities for collaboration. Regularly report to staff, internal editorial board, and other stakeholders about progress of campaigns and overall growth.

 Qualifications:

  • 3- 5 years' experience in traditional organization and online communications for a nonprofit or advocacy organization.
  • Strong writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Self-starter, data-driven, and an experienced organizer with a clear vision about how to approach using online tools to build a network of activists.
