We are offering a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of building a first class, national communication program for the Institute. We're looking for exceptionally bright, passionate and effective professional communicators who play well with others. We have a Chief Communication Officer, Director of Editorial and Senior Writer in place. We are currently hiring three additional positions. All require outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

 

Press and Media Strategist – This position will have daily responsibility for relationships with, and outreach to, reporters, editors, producers, bloggers, opinion leaders and influencers. Provide strategic guidance, planning and support to communication campaigns surrounding our research and policy efforts. At least five years' experience required using both traditional and emerging media to attract the attention of reporters, editors, bloggers and other opinion leaders leading to significant earned media attention. This position will reside in the DC office.

 

Digital Strategist – This position will serve as project manager and main point of daily contact with the vendor selected to develop our web site. Once the site is launched, will become the site's front-end developer and super-user, maintaining and extending the site as necessary. Provides strategic guidance, planning and support to content strategy initiatives surrounding our research and policy efforts.

Requires demonstrated experience with HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery. Knows Adobe Creative Suite inside and out. Experience with Drupal a big plus. Deep understanding of using analytics and other tools to guide the evolution of our online presence. Minimum five years experience required. This position can reside in either the DC or Palo Alto offices.

 

Communication Specialist – Despite the title, this is a generalist position. Requires well-rounded communication skills and an expertise in more than one of the following areas. At least three years' experience required. This position can reside in either the DC or Palo Alto offices.

o   Running campaigns that use digital media to drive and inform traditional media and online conversations

o   Writing/editing/storytelling/repurposing content

o   Software: MS Office: Expert-level skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel (charts and graphs); Twitter, Facebook, other social media platforms

o   Press and media relations

·      Bonus

o   Multimedia storytelling (photography, audio, video)

o   Graphic and visual design, infographics

Location- St. Louis, Mo

 

Duration- 18 months

 

 

Required Experience:

 

 

• Analyze Monthly Import All (IA) Change Requests (CRs)

o If necessary, test the IA changes

• Provide production support for issues that can't be resolved by factory resources or the Central Super User (CSU) group. This includes sharing an on call rotation with other T&P BAs.

• Coordinate Issue & Enhancement (I&E) requests with the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) group, the Continuous Improvement team and other streams as appropriate.

• Conduct regular calls with the Regional Business Solutions (RBS) team.

• Address I&E requests by developing system or process solutions. This includes:

o Creating all necessary documentation such Fit Gaps, Change Requests, Requirements, etc.

o Maintaining T&P training materials as needed.

• Manage Configuration Change Requests

• Participate in Top Down and Cross Stream projects (such as Waggin' Train, Pathogen Monitoring, APO upgrade, etc.)

o Provide project estimates

o Serve as a T&P SME

o Perform data setup, configuration requests, testing, training and implementation support.

• Provide Roles Support as needed

o Work with GC BAs and stream Role Link to create Role Change Requests as required by the business.

o Serve as SME for non-standard role requests

o Provide feedback regarding Highly Sensitive Role (HSR) and Segregation of Duty (SoD) inquiries.

o Test role changes.

• Provide Knowledge Transfer for the CSU as needed.

• Understand End to End Process in which T&P is involved.

• Understand SAP QM data (tables/fields).

• Understand the QM Business Functions across factories.

• Understand SAP configurations/functionality.

• Conduct regular sessions with end users to solicit needs. Assess end users' issues and requests for next steps.

• Participate in monthly Application Change Board Meetings to set priorities with the business sponsors.

• Address I&E requests by developing system or process solutions. This includes:

o Creating all necessary documentation such Fit Gaps, Change Requests, Requirements, etc.

o Maintaining T&P training materials as needed.

• Provide Globe Foundation Index (GFI) support for the factories

o Assist factories in understanding their scores (and the business impact) and in developing solutions to improve scores

 

Desired Skill Set

• Strong analytical skills

• Thorough understanding of SAP as it applies to T&P QM

• Thorough understanding of business processes

• Ability to listen carefully to internal customer feedback and effectively translate that information into requirements.

• Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to work effectively with end users, T&P stream members, cross stream teams, the CSU and RBS resources

• Ability to communicate effectively at appropriate levels (end users, factory managers, peers, upper management)

• Ability to partner with internal customers to achieve results (as opposed to imposing solutions).

• Ability to generate accurate effort estimates and deliver results on schedule

• Ability to review functional specifications

• Understanding of ABAP programming (ability to interpret) is a plus

 

Education/Experience Requirements

• BS Degree in food science, chemistry, biology or related

• 5+ years of experience in the SAP QM Modules – Inspection Planning, Inspection Lot Generation, Results Recording & Usage Decision, Evaluations & Reporting, Status Control, Quality Information Records, Quality Notifications, Vendor Audit Management.

• SAP configuration experience

• Excellent understanding of QM related table structures and master data

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
