Re: [SCOW] Racing tonight

As always I'm thrilled that SCOW is promoting a more active approach to racing. In years passed it has been challenging to get racing approved.
I haven't seen you all's boat prep or tuning before the races or what sail adjustments your applying while on the course. The Scot web site has some valuable tips.
The gain in sail adjustments such as  main sail outhaul, Cunningham and halyard tension. Are sometimes hard to measure in boat to boat comparisons on short courses. I hope in your fun races and practices you'll include some long legs to allow this. It's also interesting to try different centerboard positions in all points of sail. And how crew weight affects how the sails are trimmed, heavy crew = fuller sails.

Folks,

I am going out of town this afternoon for a couple of days. Anyone interested in racing tonight could try e-mailing to Jim Klein as I believe he is interested.  <jimk4490@yahoo.com>
Weather looks great at the moment.
