You are warmly invited to our signature America 250 celebration, LAND OF THE FREE — a riveting new production by the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble, commissioned by the Hungary Foundation especially for America’s 250th anniversary and now making its U.S. debut.
Through spectacular dance, authentic Hungarian folk music, and vibrant costumes, the performance brings to life the remarkable story of Colonel Michael Kováts de Fabriczy — the Hungarian hussar who fought for American independence, helped lay the foundations of the U.S. Cavalry, and gave his life defending Charleston in 1779.
Created by Kossuth Prize-winning artists Zoltán Zsuráfszky and Zs. Vincze Zsuzsa, LAND OF THE FREE is a celebration of courage, freedom, and 250 years of Hungarian-American friendship.
