These Hungarian masterworks infuse the musical flavor of the old world and folk song with a very distinctive timeless style that has captivated audiences for centuries. In a long standing tradition of partnering with the embassies in bringing music from across the globe to the Arlington and DC area audiences, we are honored to welcome H.E. Szabolcs Takács, Hungarian Ambassador, who will offer few words on this extraordinary program. Hungary’s folk and a distinctive classical style plus the music of other composers who were inspired by it will enchant and delight.
