(Career Progress) HIRING: When We All Vote Program Assistants

Civic Nation is currently seeking Program Assistants for its When We All Vote initiative. Program Assistants are needed in the following areas:


  • Digital

  • Email

  • Front Office

  • My School Votes

  • Talent, Entertainment & Culture


These roles are part-time (29 hours per week), temporary positions ending in August 2024, with the possibility of extension through November 2024. To read more about each role, please visit the Civic Nation Careers Page.

YOUR IMPACT

The Program Assistants will get hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Digital - brainstorming/researching ideas for original content while assisting with social platform management.

  • Email - tracking email analytics and engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.

  • Front Office - supporting Principal management and executing day-to-day tasks that help the When We All Vote team run smoothly.

  • My School Votes - working to close the race and age gaps in voting by supporting the My School Votes Ambassador program.

  • Talent, Entertainment & Culture - brainstorming innovative ways to reach our target audience through cultural leaders and marketing campaigns.


YOUR EXPERIENCE

While experience varies for each Program Assistant, the general requirements are as follows:

  • Be a recent high school graduate or currently enrolled in college or university

  • A track record of getting results

  • A passion for civic engagement and social justice

  • Eager to build impactful relationships within and outside of the organization


YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to take initiative constructively and professionally

  • An open-minded approach to operating within a dynamic organization

  • Ability to work with diverse communities and individuals with varying perspectives

  • Deep dedication to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Outstanding attention to detail

  • Demonstrated flexibility and openness in responding to changing work priorities

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment


SALARY & BENEFITS

The Washington, DC-based hourly rate for this position is $17.50 per hour (will be adjusted for cost of labor for the incumbent's work location), commensurate with experience.


PROCESS TIMELINE

Candidates can expect the following hiring process and timeline (please note that this timeline may be subject to change):  


  • May 24: Applications close

  • May 28 – May 30: First-Round Interviews

  • Week of June 3: Hiring Decision announced
