National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day February 7, 2023 Join the Anacostia Playhouse family as we acknowledge the progress in HIV prevention and care among the Black community while recognizing the work that still needs to be done. The event will feature a panel, play performances, and singers, as well as free HIV testing for the community. April 19 - May 14, 2023 | | | | New Voices New Works Play Festival Anacostia Playhouse's annual new works series. This year's theme is "Love will make you do right/make you do wrong." April 24 - May 8, 2023 | | | DC Premiere Breakthrough by Verna Craighead Green This contemporary Gospel musical follows Pablo as he must decide between the church's draw and the street's draw. His journey of misfortune and hijinx with his crew leads him down the path of self-discovery. He ultimately must face the consequence of his choices. Will he make the right decision?
